A Ministry With a Message
Christian Friends of Israel was formed in December 1985. That same year, its destiny was prophesied by a godly sister in the Lord from France. In essence, she said, "CFI will not explode into the heights, but it will work in the depths." CFI was not to become an institution, but an active Christian outreach ministry, headquartered in the eternal city of Jerusalem, with representatives around the world
The prophecy pointed away from a glittering ministry of Christian megastars, directing instead to follow in the humble path of the Master's steps through service to the Jewish people at the grassroots level. By this means, CFI gains access where few Christians get to go. Many good works look from the outside in to the Jewish community; by God's grace and destiny for us, we work in the depths of private lives.
Build relationships and be a "healing balm" to the Jewish people.
CFI Mission Statement
"We believe Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world; our stand alongside Israel, however, is not conditional upon that belief." WE LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY.
Our operation has two main arms. One arm produces a genuine Christian witness and bears fruit through blessing Israel, according to Numbers 24:9, "Blessed is he that blesseth thee."
CFI Canada is a mercy ministry that gives practical assistance. it is not a political task force or a group that disperses large cheques with a spotlight photo on the amount.
CFI Canada is involved in teaching Christian communities about their Jewish roots and Jewish-Christian history. This is a priority with CFI and it is a privilege to bless the Church by raising her awareness of Israel, expanding her Biblical understanding of Jacob's tribe's importance in God's plan, and raising prayer support, financial support, and hands-on service to these special people.
We are also involved in getting the word out through various Missionsfest events across Canada. Volunteers to distribute information at our booths may contact Elaine Newman, the Canadian Director, to offer their services in educating the public about God's plans for Israel.
Our arms are wrapped around the heart of Israel to undo damage carried out by Christian anti-Semitism for over twenty centuries in the Name of Jesus. It is His Name that we aim to vindicate, as Christendom marred His image to His own Chosen People. We are His hands, feet, and heart of love, which should have always been there for them.
Our vision for the future is a worldwide outreach to educate the nations about God's promises to Israel, in order to make a difference and "change history" between Israel and the Church.
CFI Canada's Ministry of Compassion
CFI Canada can give receipts only for funds spent in Canada, not outside of the country, but we will forward money designated for the Holy Land to the Jerusalem office, or you can send the money to their office directly.
CFI Canada's Ministry of Exhortation
CFI Canada encourages members of Jacob's tribe to return to the Land and renders assistance, when possible, for Canadian Jews to make aliyah.
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child, and the one who labors with child, together; A great throng shall return there. They shall come with weeping, and with supplications I will lead them. [Jeremiah 31:8 & 9]
Regardless of where they live, we endeavour to assure the Jewish people of our support for their continued existence, liberty, and prosperity within the international community.
We are part of a pioneering ministry with prophetic plow in hand. As a prophetic plow, working a very neglected field, CFI Canada assists in planting a vineyard which is bearing fruit in almost every sector of Jewish life today. We are preparing the way of the Lord and taking up the stones of stumbling placed there by historical Christianity on the highway of holiness, removing the stones one by one. Through the mercy ministry of dedicated servants working with CFI Canada, God is making the crooked ways straighter and the rocky places smoother.
The principle and promise in Numbers 24:9, " Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee," has been in effect throughout the centuries. It is the true prosperity message for today's Church: bless Israel and you will be blessed. We believe that true disciples of Yeshua, as the Bride of Christ, will come to know and love the Groom's family, with hearts completely free of anti-Semitism.
To make a deeper impact, we must increase our work, and this requires a much greater degree of dedication from God's redeemed. We need the involvement of many Christians worldwide. It is your ministry with a heart in Jerusalem, feeding veins of blessing running throughout Israel, to bring the precious Gift of Yeshua to His tribe, that they may partake of His love and life, now and forever.
Our Debt to the Jews
Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "Salvation is of the Jews," [John 4:22] because it was from the tribe of Judah that our Lord Yeshua came forth, and it was through holy men of Jacob's tribe, not through anyone from the nations that were imported into the Land, that the Torah and the writings of the Prophets were given forth.
Additionally, Paul the Apostle said in Romans 15:25 - 27, " … I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the Lord's people there. For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the Lord's people in Jerusalem. They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings."
Christian Friends of Israel practices good stewardship in this service to the Lord's people. Please partner with us.
